Meet Joe Barbic, Estate Manager

1. How long have you been in the industry for?

I have been working in the Real Estate Industry for over 20 years.

2. What's the best thing about your job?

The best part of my job is helping clients achieve their dream of purchasing a property.

3. What does a typical day look like for you?

I'm not sure that I have a typical day, that's probably the best part about my role. Every day you speak to different people who have different needs and wants. That's what makes our jobs so rewarding.

4. In one sentence, tell us what you love about Rosenthal

I love the fact that the residents of Rosenthal love where they live, it has an amazing sense of belonging.

5. What do buyers love about Rosenthal?

Purchasers love that fact that Rosenthal is close to all the amenities that one requires, however, still maintains that country feel.

6. What advice would you give to first time homebuyers thinking of taking the plunge and buying a new home?

The best advice I can give to first home buyers is don't over extend yourselves, buy within your means and needs, speak to a few brokers who can help you work out your budget and stick to it.

7. When I am not in the Rosenthal Sales office you will find me...

When not in the sales office you will find me in and around Sunbury, when in need of a great burger you'll find me at the best burger bar or if I'm looking for a meal you may find me at Vic's or just sitting back at the Spotted Owl having a latté.

8. What is your biggest achievement to date - personal or professional?

Not to sound like a cliché, but by far my greatest achievement to date would be my 8 year old kids. They definitely make life interesting, as all those with kids would understand :).

9. What are three things still left on your bucket list?

If you ask my friends, spending a week in the bush sleeping in a swag would be on there. I've always said I wanted to camp, but I prefer a nice hotel to sleeping on the ground - maybe one day.

A boys trip to Vegas is definitely on my list of to do's.

I've never really thought about a bucket list, I much more prefer to be spontaneous and if a good adventure arises just go for it - life is definitely to short.

10. What would people be surprised to know about you?

I love a good adventure, so a few years ago a friend and I jumped in a car and did a little road trip to Port Lincoln. We cage dived with the Great Whites, it was an experience I'll never forget!

11. What are 3 words to describe you?
