2024 Year in Review and Exciting Developments at Rosenthal
2024 has been another exciting year for Rosenthal and its growing community. As we continue to develop, we reflect on the significant progress we’ve made while eagerly anticipating the growth that is yet to come.
Below, we’ve highlighted some of the key milestones from this year, along with a recap of our journey since the beginning of the Rosenthal development.
2024 Milestones:
Stage E6 – The Davenport Release (Lots 3601–3629):
This stage saw the release of 29 lots, including the vital Davenport Drive link to Vineyard Rd, which features a new signalised intersection. This new road provides an additional entry point to Rosenthal and improved access to surrounding established neighbourhoods.
Stage E7 – The Tyquin Release (Lots 3701–3737):
With 37 lots in an elevated position, Stage E7 is already seeing homes being built and offers residents stunning views of the surrounding area.
Stage E8 – The Pearl Release (Lots 3801–3821):
This stage was recently completed, further contributing to Rosenthal’s ongoing expansion.
Stage 18 – The Legacy Release (Lots 1801 – 1825):
These 25 lots delivered the final stage of the development located on the southern side of Harpers Creek.
Landscaping & Open Space:
Pearl Iris Park: Earlier this year, we were proud to open Pearl Iris Park, located in Stage E2 near Rosenthal Village. The park features a range of play equipment, including swings, slides, water play, and expansive grassed areas. The park was officially opened by the Mayor of Hume City Council, alongside the surviving children of Pearl Iris herself (who the park is named after).
Stormwater Retarding Basin & Wetlands: Construction of a large stormwater retarding basin and wetlands area opposite the former Masters site began in early 2024 and is now nearing completion. This project, in conjunction with works on Harpers Creek (spanning 8 hectares or 20 acres), will help manage stormwater flows across the estate. Landscaping is expected to follow this in early to mid-2025.
Stages 18, E6 & E7: Landscape works comprising the installation of hundreds of street trees, plants, shrubs, turf and bollards were completed within these stages.
Mixed-Use Development:
Shopping Precinct: Work is progressing well on the mixed-use site at the corner of Vineyard Road and Deveny Road (opposite the former Masters site). The precinct will feature new retail options, including a Guzman Y Gomez Mexican Kitchen, a 7-Eleven convenience store with a petrol station, and a car and dog wash. We look forward to opening these businesses in early 2025.
Key Milestones Since Rosenthal’s Inception:
Since the commencement of Rosenthal in 2013, we’ve made significant strides, including:
- 48 stages released and sold (1,170 lots)
- Approximately 1,000 homes built, creating a thriving community of over 3,000 residents
- Delivered a vast array of housing options, including; traditional lots ranging in size from 250m2 – 1400m2, to popular townhomes that provide a great compact option close to established amenity
- Three major parks delivered—Tom’s Park, Angela’s Park, and Pearl Iris Park—totalling 24 acres (9.74ha) of green space, alongside a creek and walking tracks
- Two conservation areas established for perpetuity, covering 35 acres (14ha)
- Planted and maintained thousands of trees, shrubs & grasses
- The opening of Rosenthal Shopping Village, which includes Woolworths, Brown Cow Café, Will’s Nails, BWS, Tatts Rosenthal, Smart Phone Solutions, Victoria Pizza, Catch 90 Fish and Chips, Direct Chemist Outlet, Resolve Medical, McDonald’s, and KFC
- The long-awaited Elizabeth Drive connection from Mitchell’s Lane to Vineyard Rd, creating a northern ring road around Sunbury to reduce traffic congestion
- The delivery of key community amenities such as a childcare center, Catholic primary school providing complementary benefits to already existing amenities such as Langama Park Sporting Precinct, Goodstart Early Learning Centre, Sunbury Downs Secondary College and Sunbury Heights Primary School.
- A charity home auction that raised $1 million for local non-profit groups
What’s Next?
Looking ahead, we are excited to release another 8 stages (approximately 350 lots) in the coming year or so, along with additional community amenities. A new land release precinct, located across from our sales office, will feature in the remaining releases with 230 lots and is set to begin next year (2025). These lots will overlook Harpers Creek and the new landscaped wetlands. The area will also feature a fourth major park. Diverse housing options will be a feature of this new precinct.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you as we complete the vision we’ve had for Rosenthal since inception. Together, we will continue to see the transformation of this community into a vibrant and connected place to call home.
Thank you for your continued support.
