We recently had the official naming ceremony of the new Pearl Iris Park in honour of the late Pearl Iris Potts, who was a much-loved member of the Sunbury community.
A resident of 70 years, mother of 8 children, Grandmother of 24 children & Great Grandmother of 40! Pearl was a nurse and volunteer in many local charities and organisations.
It was a pleasure to have Mayor Naim Kurt – Hume City Council on hand to officially open the park along with Pearl’s surviving children, Joan, Maree, Jenny and John. Many other family and friends were also in attendance.
A big thanks to Hume City Council who arranged the event and also presented family members with a plaque to cherish.
